welcome to my little corner of the internet ☺
Hi,
my name is
Meggan Ashlee
Storyteller
Christ Follower
Rooted Romantic
I’m Meggs, the heart behind Coram Deo Photo. I’m a Christ follower, a wife, and someone who fully believes photography is sacred work. This job is more than taking pretty pictures. It’s about witnessing the moments that actually matter. The ones you’ll want to remember when everything else fades. The quiet glances. The shaky vows. The laughter you didn’t expect. The holy weight of becoming a mother. The everyday in between.
I’m based in Arizona but also spend time in Alaska, and I serve couples and families who value intentionality, honesty, and emotion over perfection. I believe your story matters because the One who gave it to you says it does. Whether I’m capturing your wedding day, your milestones, your just born baby, or the season you never want to forget...I’m here to document it with care, creativity, and reverence.
Coram Deo means “before the face of God.” That’s how I try to live, and it’s how I approach every session, with presence, humility, and heart.
some fun facts about me...
because bios are boring
- I split my time between the desert heat of Arizona and the wild stillness of Alaska... and I somehow love both.
- I cry at weddings 100% of the time, especially during the father-daughter dance.
- My favorite book genre is historical fiction with emotional wreckage. Bonus points if there’s a slow-burn love story and a war somewhere in the background.
- I named my business Coram Deo because I believe everything I do should happen in the presence of God.
- My husband and I went from best friends to married in under three years. So yes, I believe in fast, intentional love stories.
- I can quote the show Friends almost fluently. Could I be any more obsessed?
- I own four Owalas because hydration is basically a personality trait at this point.
- I’m not just a photographer. I’m the girl who will straighten your veil, pray over you, and probably help your grandma find her seat.
- If I could bottle golden hour light and use it year round, I would. Until then, I chase it with everything I’ve got.
- I have a love hate relationship with coffee, but it usually wins.
